About Property:
As a successful Tournament Official, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with tournament operations at The Ripken Experience™ Aberdeen. You will actively contribute to the success of weekend tournaments in Aberdeen.
Position Summary:
This paid, seasonal position will span from March until November 2025. The primary workload is scheduled between Friday and Sunday each week.

As a Tournament Official, you will:
  • Learn 'The Ripken Way' to play an integral role in operating the best baseball tournaments in the nation
  • Create a fun, dynamic atmosp for guests, developing camaraderie and acting as a positive role model
  • Ad to the Ripken values and brand standards, ensuring a consistent representation of excellence
  • Acquire expertise in tournament operations through hands-on guidance from seasoned professionals
  • Announce youth baseball games (reading player names and advertisements), play music, run the scoreboard, relay messages to the Tournament Director, and assist our operations team with tasks around the complex
  • Serve as a baseball rules consultant
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, displaying initiative, desire, and determination to champion the values associated with the Ripken name and brand
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
  • Be considered to work other Ripken Baseball events in the future, based on performance
Qualifications:
This part-time opportunity is ideal for high school or college students, as well as individuals seeking a supplementary weekend job. Full-season commitment is not required; your availability can vary throughout the season.
Preferred:
  • Prior work experience in a customer service environment
  • Previous experience within the sports sector
  • Genuine passion for sports, with a particular emphasis on baseball/softball Working Conditions /

  • Engaging, outgoing personality with abundant energy and proactive initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Familiarity and capability to operate an iPad, sound system, and microphone
  • Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to endure potential exposure to extreme heat or cold
