Yes Job Description ECU School of Theatre and Dance is seeking several enthusiastic and reliable Box Office/Theatre Assistants to support the Box Office Manager with ticket sales, customer inquiries, and various administrative tasks related to the ECU/Loessin Playhouse operations and marketing including social media, website, and visual promotions. This role involves direct interaction with the public, requiring strong customer service skills and professionalism both in-person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with ticket sales and patron communications Respond to phone messages and emails Support general box office operations Assist with marketing and event advertising Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Box Office Manager Potentially assist in Design & Production shops (e.g., costumes, paint, props) based on experience and availability
Work Schedule:
Primarily Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM Flexible hours to accommodate class schedules Evening and weekend shifts required during Playhouse performances (scheduled in advance) Box office closed during university holidays and breaks
Dress Code:
Business casual attire during performances or show-specific costumes as directed by the Design Team Casual attire acceptable during non-performance work hours Assignments to Design & Production shops will be discussed during the interview for applicants interested. GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0 Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional demeanor and punctuality Interest or experience in theatre production All majors are welcome, no experience required.
