Job Description

Job Overview The BlueClaws are looking for an energetic performer to become team mascot Buster at community appearances. The performer will meet fans, take pictures, interact with fans and work closely with the BlueClaws marketing and promotions teams to showcase the team. Responsibilities Engage with guests while in costume, display enthusiasm and high energy always to elevate the experience Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including body language/mannerisms, attitude, and fan interaction Represent the BlueClaws at a wide range of club sponsored community outreach events Perform at private parties, parades, festivals, grand openings, etc. as needed (includes nights, both weekdays and weekends, and holidays) Responsible for entertaining guest and being involved in various activities and events throughout the year Consistently execute care and maintenance to ensure costume is always in operational, guest-ready, condition Ability to be trained and crossed utilized to support other activities as required Requirements Must be available to work odd hours including nights and weekends Work well in a team environment Ability to communicate non-verbally to interact with the public Engaging, animated presence Passion for working with kids Able to withstand high heat and enclosed spaces for extended periods of time 2 years' experience in a guest services role preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
