JOB SUMMARY
Assistant to the ROTC Secretary
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Verify quality and quantity of items, investigate discrepancies, prepare inventory lists and maintain a thorough knowledge of supply policies and procedures.
  • Assist with equipment issue and turn-in to include lifting heavy objects.
  • Recruiting Assistance
  • Update social media accounts with relevant content; respond to posts or comments to bring value to user interactions.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned.
  • Provide general support to the recruiting officer to include interactions with prospective cadets regarding the ROTC program at all events attended by the recruiting officer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be an active participant in the ROTC program.
  • Willing and able to lift heavy objects and transport heavy object up and down stairs.
  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo-editing and video-editing software, and internet browsers.
  • Familiarity with mainstream social medial platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.
  • Available to attend ROTC training, tabling and other cadet/cadre events (within the available work hours).
  • Available to work 17 to 20 hours per week.
