Assistant to the ROTC SecretaryDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify quality and quantity of items, investigate discrepancies, prepare inventory lists and maintain a thorough knowledge of supply policies and procedures.
- Assist with equipment issue and turn-in to include lifting heavy objects.
- Recruiting Assistance
- Update social media accounts with relevant content; respond to posts or comments to bring value to user interactions.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Provide general support to the recruiting officer to include interactions with prospective cadets regarding the ROTC program at all events attended by the recruiting officer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be an active participant in the ROTC program.
- Willing and able to lift heavy objects and transport heavy object up and down stairs.
- Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration.
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo-editing and video-editing software, and internet browsers.
- Familiarity with mainstream social medial platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.
- Available to attend ROTC training, tabling and other cadet/cadre events (within the available work hours).
- Available to work 17 to 20 hours per week.
