Job Description

The Knight Monsters are seeking a creative, motivated, and passionate Game Presentation Intern for the 2026-27 season. This hands-on opportunity provides valuable experience within a premier ECHL hockey organization and is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a portfolio in sports media, live-game production, fan experience, and video production. All applications will be kept on file until the start of the internship program for which candidates apply.
Timeline:
September 2026 - April 2027 (or at the completion of Playoffs) Position Overview The Game Presentation Intern will work closely with the Game Presentation and Game Operations teams to enhance the in-game fan experience. This role will assist in bringing professional hockey games to life. From operating and updating video board graphics to running the DJ booth and running a camera, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in live sports production and broadcasting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Interest/Experience in live sports, game operations, and/or broadcasting Excellent attention to detail and creative storytelling abilities Familiarity or ability to read a game script Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple assignments. Game Presentation Intern, Your Responsibilities May Include:
DJing the game using a provided game script and cues from the game producer. Operating video board graphics before, during, and after games. Operating venue lights before, during, and after games. Operating a camera that streams to FloHockey and the video board. Shadowing the game producer, technical director and replay operator. Attending pre-game production meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Internship Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Media, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Video Production, or a related field. Housing and transportation in Tahoe/ Reno or surrounding area. Availability to work home games and designated office hours.
Compensation:
This is a non-paid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
