Windham, NY (In-Person)
Seasonal Position:
This role is available for the winter season.
Pay:
$25/hour (Entry Level)
Anticipated Start Dates:
Available start dates are November 15th or December 1st and are first come first serve •These start dates are weather dependent
Scheduling Expectations:
Weekend and holiday availability is required. Snowmaking is dependent on weather and temperature conditions and may operate for 24 hours a day when conditions are favorable. This requires team members to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work as needed. The night and day shifts are each 12 hours long.
Conditions:
Must be comfortable working at heights, overnight, and in extreme winter conditions. This physically demanding role requires working outdoors on steep, snowy terrain in all weather conditions.
Transportation:
Must be able to get to and from work consistently and reliably in challenging weather conditions.
Position Summary:
Love working outdoors? Join our Snowmaking team and help produce and maintain quality snow conditions through equipment operation, snow monitoring, and hands-on winter work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain snowmaking equipment and systems. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Monitor snow quality and adjust equipment as needed. Troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs. Safely operate vehicles and equipment. Support team and mountain operations as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Experience or education in construction, mechanical, electrical, heavy equipment, or related fields preferred. Able and willing to follow all directions from experienced snowmakers team members .
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to walk and work safely on steep, snowy, and icy terrain. Ability to work extended hours outdoors in all winter weather conditions and shifts. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, and reach frequently.
