Manger of Game Operations & Activation The Wheeling Nailers are looking for highly motivated individuals that are looking to pursue sports as a future career, to provide a positive experience to all hockey fans by helping conduct in-game entertainment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate Sports Sounds Pro / Spotify for in-arena home games Work with Game Producer on game nights to follow cues and execute their requests Help decide what music to play for specific promotions Control Arena Volume and Levels for P.A., wireless microphones, and music Other duties assigned
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Understand basics of a sound mixer / computer Experience working with Sports Sounds Pro or other platform 1-3 years' working in sporting events (preferred) Ability to make quick and effective decisions A hard work ethic and mental attitude of success
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Excellent communication skills Knowledge of the game of hockey Must be able to work game nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the calendar year Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to read the crowd / game for appropriate tracks to play Time Management Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment Must work playoffs April-June unless excused by supervisor The Wheeling Nailers may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her normal description.
