As a Content Format Editor you will support Canal VIX Editing and Playout team by reviewing all media assets received from internal and third-party productions to ensure all technical deliverable requirements are properly met, creating the necessary version(s) for internal clients or for distribution.

YOUR DAY-DAY

(aka Responsibilities)

• \tIngest, organize, retrieve and distribute multiple media assets for post-production and distribution workflows.
• \tUse of multiple NLE systems for organization of editorial bins, editing sequences and transformation of media and metadata, according to client needs.
• \tEdit media assets to comply with requirements for network airing on linear streaming channels, including assets for reruns of shows.
• \tCreation of air-master version for linear streaming channel according to playout specifications for video, audio and captions.
• \tOrganize and manage data associated to media files and workflows within department.
• \tPerforms partial or full evaluation of media assets at the original master level to ensure it matches with company requirements and technical/quality standards. Generate report of evaluation of media assets.
• \tSupport Programming and Scheduling team with daily revision of missing media reports and submit missing assets to Playout.
• \tSubmit video, captioning and subtitling assets into Content Distribution system for syndication to On-Demand, streaming channel and Social Media platforms.
• \tConsolidate and archive original and edited media assets in MAM and PAM to ensure all necessary content and elements are available for sales deals.
• \tManagement of incoming / outgoing physical assets inventory within the department.

YOU HAVE

(aka Qualifications )

• \tStrong understanding of digital media environment, i.e. file formats, codecs and digital delivery formats.
• \tKnowledge of media asset management and archiving systems, including metadata creation, file management, and storage. Avid Interplay Asset Management user experience highly preferred.
• \tProficient with TVU Channel/Search, AVID Media Composer, AVID Interplay
• \tExceptional organizational and time management skills required, able to manage many projects simultaneously with varying deadlines.
• \tWork effectively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are a must.
• \tBilingual in English/Spanish, verbal and written skills preferred
• \tBS degree in broadcasting, digital/new media, film studies or related field or 3+ years of experience.
