Job Description

In-House Video Editor South Florida Hospitality Group Miami, FL Full-Time |
On-Site Salary:
$60,000-$70,000 annually South Florida Group is seeking a talented and highly efficient In-House Video Editor to join our creative and marketing team. This role is ideal for an editor who understands how video content is consumed across today's social media and digital platforms and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume creative environment. The In-House Video Editor will be responsible for transforming footage from our existing content library, as well as new content captured by our videographers, into polished video assets for our portfolio of hospitality and entertainment brands. Content will include social media reels, event recaps, promotional videos, podcast content, commercial-style videos, advertisements, and other digital marketing materials. With multiple events taking place across our venues each week, this position will play an important role in maintaining a consistent flow of fresh, engaging video content. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with our Design Manager, social media team, marketing managers, videographers, and other members of the creative department to ensure each brand has the content needed to successfully promote events, programming, and venue experiences. Responsibilities Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content for social media, digital advertising, websites, email marketing, and other promotional channels. Create engaging Instagram Reels, TikTok-style videos, event recaps, promotional videos, commercial-style content, podcast clips, and other digital assets. Work with footage from both our existing content library and newly captured video from our in-house and freelance videographers. Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to understand upcoming events, campaigns, promotions, and content priorities. Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure video content remains visually consistent with the branding and creative direction of each venue. Develop multiple video assets from individual events or shoots, identifying different hooks, moments, edits, and formats that can extend the life of available footage. Incorporate typography, graphics, logos, animation, music, sound design, captions, and other visual elements into finished video content. Create basic motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects. Perform color correction, basic color grading, audio cleanup, music selection, and other post-production adjustments as needed. Edit and format video content specifically for different platforms, aspect ratios, placements, and advertising requirements. Maintain organized project files, footage libraries, graphics, music, exports, and archived video assets so content can be easily located and repurposed. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quick turnaround times and meeting weekly content deadlines. Create alternate cuts, revisions, and platform-specific versions of videos based on feedback from marketing, social media, creative, and leadership teams. Stay current with social media video trends, editing styles, transitions, pacing, music, typography, and emerging content formats. Identify opportunities within existing footage to create additional evergreen, promotional, or trend-driven content. Help establish efficient editing templates, workflows, presets, and organizational systems that allow the creative team to produce content quickly and consistently. This is a full-time, five-day-per-week, in-office position, Monday through Friday. Qualifications Professional experience in video editing, content creation, post-production, digital media, or a related creative field. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud , particularly Adobe Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, including basic motion graphics, text animation, transitions, and compositing. Understanding of graphic design fundamentals including typography, composition, hierarchy, color, and branding. Strong understanding of short-form social media content and how editing style, pacing, hooks, music, and storytelling influence engagement. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency across multiple brands. Experience working with different video formats, codecs, resolutions, frame rates, and social media aspect ratios. Comfortable receiving creative direction and feedback while also making independent editing and storytelling decisions. Strong organizational and file-management skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, videographers, social media managers, marketing managers, and other creative team members. Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Miami area. Applicants must include a portfolio, website, or demo reel showcasing relevant video editing work in order to be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience editing content for hospitality, nightlife, restaurants, entertainment, events, lifestyle, or consumer brands. Experience creating high-performing Instagram Reels, TikTok content, YouTube Shorts, or similar short-form social media content. Experience editing podcast or interview content. Experience creating commercial-style or paid social advertising content. Additional experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Familiarity with motion graphics, animated typography, masking, tracking, and other After Effects techniques. Understanding of current social media trends, music, memes, and digital content culture.
