Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Social Media Develop and manage a consistent monthly content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) for The Methodist Home, Lighthouse for Families, Hope Foster Care, and Tags of Hope Thrift Shoppe. Post when needed across other associated accounts (Eagle's Nest Children's Center, HomeRun 5k, Big Henry). Create graphics, reels, and take photos for engaging social content. Monitor engagement, respond appropriately to comments, and help strengthen our online community. Take photographs of the youth, staff and other major events. Occasional travel to our satellite campuses (Columbus, Americus, Valdosta, St. Marys) for content.
Video Production:
Plan, film, and edit short and long form videos for social media, events, and conferences. Assist in the creation of scripts, storyboards, captions, thumbnails, and supporting graphics for video content. Capture and edit b-roll, video's, interviews, etc. Repurpose longer videos into shorter pieces for social media.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with photography, set-up/clean-up, media, etc. related to special events. Assist with special projects as requested. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment. Utilizes appropriate Sanctuary tools when interacting with colleagues and residents. Adheres to the seven commitments of Sanctuary when carrying out work responsibilities. Completes assignments in a timely and accurate manner. Is willing to take on additional responsibility in a positive manner. Complete training necessary to perform position consistent with program and agency staff development plans. Uphold the mission, vision and values of The Methodist Home. Other duties as assigned. Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field preferred; or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of online platforms. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling or services. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and Internet usage required. Knowledge of professional graphics and publishing programs such as Canva, Capcut, and Adobe Creative Suite desirable. Ability to meet and handle the public with tact and poise. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Must be able to multi task in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information properly. Ability to understand and consistently implement policies and procedures of the Agency. Ability to interact and work cooperatively and effectively with other personnel and residents. Ability to show sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural difference in the service population. •Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Receive satisfactory results for a pre-employment physical, ten panel drug screen and TB test. Duties are performed in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful to casual and leisurely. Duties may include sitting and typing for both short and lengthy durations of time. Duties require repetitive hand motions through extensive use of computer, keyboard and mouse. Duties require good perception of colors. Duties require some traveling in Agency vehicle. Duties require some lifting of materials and displays up to 20 pounds. Duties may include bending, stooping or kneeling for short durations of time. Specific vision abilities include the ability to see for purposes of reading printed material as well as distance vision.

$16.38 per hour
