In this role, you will drive the conceptualization and development of stylish, on-trend clothing that resonates with modern women. Your expertise will shape the aesthetic and functionality of our collections, ensuring each piece reflects current fashion trends while maintaining comfort and versatility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence seasonal lines, collaborate across departments, and bring fresh ideas to life in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Responsibilities Develop original design concepts for casual and contemporary womens apparel, translating fashion trends into compelling collections. Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing, considering garment construction, fabric selection, and cost targets. Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to develop patterns and prototypes that align with design specifications. Oversee the product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development, fitting, and final production. Conduct trend research, analyze market data, and incorporate insights into seasonal collections to stay ahead of industry shifts. Work closely with merchandising teams to ensure designs meet brand standards and appeal to target audiences while maintaining consistency across collections. Requirements Proven experience in fashion design, specifically within casual or contemporary womenswear markets. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for designing and presentation purposes. Strong skills in CAD pattern making and garment construction techniques. Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes from concept to production. Ability to create detailed illustrations and technical specifications for manufacturing teams. Familiarity with fabric properties, color theory, sewing techniques, and garment fitting. Experience with fashion retail trends, styling, merchandising strategies, and market analysis. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, marketing, and sales. A background in graphic design or illustration is a plus; experience with sewing machines or theatrical costume design is advantageous but not required.
