In the role of Design Assistant , you will participate in a hands-on environment to develop a variety of wallcovering products. The ideal candidate is passionate about interior design, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with clientele to develop new products. A background in textile, surface, graphic, and web design is highly desirable. We are seeking a creative person who is also organized and responsible.

- Under the guidance of our Design Lead, you will help develop wallcovering collections that meet current design trends. Development includes material and color selection, and the creation of original artwork and repeating patterns for print purposes.
- Research and stay current on interior design trends in hospitality and residential wallcoverings.
- Act as a main point of contact for product design and coordination with clients.
- Help perform day-to-day office duties as required.
- Maintain the company websites via Wix and Squarespace.
- Perform photo retouching using Adobe Photoshop.
- Help create client presentations.
- Develop repeating patterns in Adobe Illustrator.
- Work collaboratively with oversea mills to execute design concepts and provide technical product specifications to clients. Experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with textile, surface and pattern design.
- Prior experience in textile design, interior design, or production environments is preferred.
- Experience in sales, account management, client presentations and customer relations is a plus.
- A great sense of color and an understanding of color theory is highly desirable.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset are a must.
