General Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and fashion-forward team player to join our Product Development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the footwear development process, supporting everything from prototypes and samples to production and shoe shows. The Product Development Assistant will work closely with internal teams and overseas agents to coordinate samples, maintain product specifications and databases, track development updates, and ensure products move smoothly through each stage of the process. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about footwear and fashion, eager to learn, and excited to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in developing and maintaining all production spec sheets with overseas agents
Assist in maintaining division prototype database
Responsible for all sample procedures for division
Assist in correcting incoming sales, confirmation and fit samples. Communicate these changes and specs to overseas agents
Update and maintain division Linesheets
Ship samples overseas
Maintain photo library
Production set up
Set up shoe shows
Special projects as required
Skills:
Efficient time management, strong organizational skills, very detail oriented, ability to juggle numerous tasks at once in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency in all Microsoft programs, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
General knowledge and interest in the shoe industry Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or
Experience:
HS Diploma or College Degree
0-2 Years prior experience in the shoe industry
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $26.00 - $28.00/Hr. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
