Immediate opening - start asap. Are you passionate about flowers and enjoy working in a creative, hands-on environment? Connecticut Flower Shop, located in Canton Connecticut, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team. We're looking for an energetic, dependable and flexible person to help with the day-to-day operations of a busy home-based floral business. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, working with flowers and plants, and helping wherever needed in a friendly home-like atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and sanitizing flower buckets and tools: Ensure all buckets, tools, and supplies are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use.

Processing and preparing fresh flowers:

Unpack, trim, and prepare flowers for display and design work including unpacking and organizing floral deliveries.

Making local flower deliveries:

Assist with local deliveries to ensure timely and professional service to our customers. Light cleaning and general workspace upkeep: Keep the shop clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, tidying workstations and regularly emptying trash and recycling. Assisting with plants and basic flower shop tasks: Water and care for shop plants to keep them healthy and vibrant. Helping with other duties as needed: Assist florists with prepping materials, assembling arrangements, organizing supplies, and other duties. What We're Looking For An Energetic and motivated individual able to work at a good pace. Dependable and punctual. Comfortable working independently and in a home environment. Flexible with scheduling, particularly around busy floral holidays. Comfortable lifting buckets, boxes and floral supplies - up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a cool environment where flowers are stored. Friendly and professional when making customer deliveries. Valid driver's license, clean driving record (for delivery tasks), and insured vehicle. Willing to pitch in and help with a variety of tasks.

Schedule:

Two mornings per week, approximately 4 hours each morning. Some flexibility in days and hours is important, as the floral business can be seasonal and occasionally requires additional help during busy periods. This is a home-based business , so we're looking for someone comfortable working in a smaller, casual environment while still being reliable, professional, and productive.
