Location This position is located at 138 Lancaster Ave, Devon, Pennsylvania, 19333 United States Role Summary A Terrain Design Supervisor is responsible for driving sales by providing the highest level of service through expert knowledge, design, and leadership for the Design by Terrain program. They along with a team of Artisans uphold terrain's four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer. Role Responsibilities Customer Experience Leads a team of Artisans to exceed customer expectations by building genuine, long-lasting relationships through personalized attention; ensure prompt customer communication with project inquires Drives staff knowledge by sharing design and product information on new arrivals and current trends to directly inspire the team & customer; guides customer choices to reflect their unique personal style Actively plans and hosts workshops and special events in their area of expertise shares details to promote Terrain's unique events, as well as drive engagement and participation Delivers a seamless shopping experience through understanding and utilization of systems and applications for an efficient customer interaction Teamwork
+ Communication Exhibits strong communication and contributes content while actively participating and leading daily meetings and/or projects; shares passion for plant, horticulture, and floral design & garden style Leads by example with setting pace and productivity amongst the Artisan team to ensure they achieve or exceed individual or collaborative design goals and deadlines Operates as an expert and resource for Artisans when projects or workload require problem-solving or reprioritization Visual
+ Business Operations Understands the terrain aesthetic and partners with design leadership to create compelling merchandise displays and installations Collaborates and communicates with the nursery, event, and operations teams to ensure proper care and restocking of plant displays; maintains cleanliness and organization of back of house display areas Leads an area of specialty to provide elevated knowledge to customers and associates in a meaningful and interesting way Adheres to store's safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store Role Qualifications Experience in customer service Experience in horticultural and floral design Basic knowledge of hand tools, wire usage, and glue guns Art and design background Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays The Perks URBN offers comprehensive Perks & Benefits to employees.
