Event Breakdown Specialist Job Description:
Heyens Hospitality, specifically Native Bloom Floral, is seeking reliable, dedicated individuals to join our team as Event Breakdown Specialists. This is a late-night role — breakdown calls typically run 11pm-12am following a wedding — where you'll ensure event setups, including floral arrangements and rental items, are properly broken down and returned to the studio. This position requires someone who can work efficiently, independently, and with attention to detail. The role involves manual labor, including lifting and hauling items up to 30 pounds. No floral experience necessary. Willingness to operate a scissor lift is a plus and comes with additional pay — training provided.Responsibilities:
- Breakdown and dispose of event setups, including floral arrangements, after weddings are completed.
- Collect hard goods such as vases, rentals, and other materials.
- Return all items to the studio and properly put them away.
- Clean and organize the studio as needed.
- Assist with general studio tasks as required.
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Must be reliable and punctual — available for late-night calls (roughly 11pm-12am).
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Trustworthy and able to complete tasks to a high standard.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and haul items up to 30 pounds.
- Willingness to operate a scissor lift is a plus; no prior experience required.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
Pay:
- $125 flat per breakdown call.
- $150 flat for whoever operates the scissor lift on that job.
