Job Summary We're seeking a creative and passionate Lead Florist to join the Sen Organic Flowers team! The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for design and a love for flowers. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the overall appearance of the shop. This role requires a strong work ethic to responsibly manage time and productivity while working independently in the shop. The hours for this position range from 20-25 hours per week. Open availability for weekends is required. Training period is $13hr and then increases to $14.50hr. Duties Design and create (fresh & dried) floral bouquets and arrangements to be displayed in the shop for purchase and for online customer orders. Assist walk-in customers with our DIY Bouquet Display; arrange our "priced per stem" florals into a bouquet or arrangement based on customer needs and preferences. Answer the shop phone for customer inquiries and floral orders. Maintain flowers, plants; ensure stock is fresh and well-displayed. Handle cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing credit card payments. Post daily on the company social media accounts. Maintain shop cleanliness and keep workspace organized. Provide information about products and services to customers. Complete daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain open communication with management and other florists. Handle employee scheduling and ordering of fresh flowers. Experience Previous experience in a retail environment required. Strong communication / customer service skills. Familiarity with cash register operations and computers. Supervisory experience preferred. A background in floral arranging or gardening is required.
