Step OneStep Two Enrichment Specialist Purpose Statement The Enrichment Specialist is responsible for designing quality out of school time programs for the students in grades K-6 at four school sites. The Enrichment Specialist is responsible for overseeing the operation of 4-5 school programs along with guiding and directing the staff of those programs. Essential Functions Develops Curriculum to include individual, small group, and large group activities while encouraging choices. Creates and implements activity plans to encourage students' social development and to provide opportunities for experiential education, academic enrichment, and recreation. Provides direction and guidance to ensure program quality. Assists Site Leaders in planning and implementing holiday programs, field trips, and special events. Works with Site Leaders to facilitate activity planning meetings and special events. Develops resource materials for the sites to support quality programming. Develops and implements training programs for site staff. Ensures that a minimum of one-hour training is available to each staff member each month. Responsible for nurturing an environment of teamwork and enthusiasm. Assists Site Leaders in recruiting, hiring, and placing qualified team members. Participates in school functions. Assures quality indicators of selected AZ Case/Quality First Standards accreditation system are well known and adhered to by staff. Responsible for keeping the site fully staffed by finding and placing substitutes in the event of a staff absence. The Enrichment Specialist assumes responsibility for site leadership in the event the Site Leader is not available. Maintains high visibility at the sites to assist in identifying challenges and opportunities. Other Functions Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. Job Requirements Mental Requirements Learning Development- Level E Knowledge in a recognized professional field or technological discipline sufficient to command various principles, facts, and practical applications.

Solutions may be somewhat technical, yet are relatively straightforward, obvious and well-defined once problems are understood. Responses come from the realm of prior learning and experiences. Experience:
1-3 years' experience with school-age children in a licensed group setting. Supervisory experience desired.Education:
Community College or Vocational coursework in child development, recreation, PE or closely related field.Certifications/Clearances:
Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) Child Day Care Center Director. Must have a negative TB Test documentation provided by a clinic or doctor, completed within 12 months prior to start working with students.
