Junior Graphic Designer - Event Production & Fabrication M Group Scenic Scottsdale, AZ Job Details Full-time | Contract From $30 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Microsoft Excel Blueprint specification interpretation Graphic design Attention to detail Graphic design software Organizational skills Professional art or design Productivity software Full Job Description Junior Graphic Designer - Event Production & Fabrication We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Jr. Graphic Designer to support the design and production of graphics for live events, branded environments, and scenic installations. This role is ideal for a designer with professional experience who is eager to learn, get hands-on with the design and production process, and grow their skills while working closely with a senior designer and production team. You'll have the opportunity to be involved throughout the life of a project—from developing and refining artwork, through client approvals and production, to seeing the finished graphics come together on-site. The Jr. Graphic Designer will help develop and adapt graphics from initial concepts through final production, prepare files for print and fabrication, and keep multiple projects moving on schedule. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within established brand guidelines, handling detailed production requirements, and communicating with designers, project managers, vendors, and fabricators.

Contract Position - Full Time (length on contract 2 years) Responsibilities Assist with the design and production of event graphics, signage, environmental graphics, and branded installations Adapt existing designs and create production-ready artwork based on established creative direction Prepare files for large-format printing, fabrication, and installation Manage graphic dimensions, specifications, materials, file setup, and revisions Create and maintain organized production files and artwork versions Review artwork for accuracy, quality, and production requirements Prepare installation documentation for installers Coordinate with senior designers, project managers, vendors, and fabrication teams Help track graphic line items, deadlines, approvals, and production status across multiple projects Create and maintain design presentation decks for internal and external distribution Support on-site installation and event production when required Qualifications 2-5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in event graphics, environmental graphics, print, signage, experiential design, or a related field Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Proficient in Office Software, i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel Experience preparing artwork for professional printing and large-format production Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Ability to interpret dimensions, specifications, drawings, and production requirements Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to ask questions Strong file organization and communication skills Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback, and work within established brand standards Experience with production, fabrication, or installation is a plus This is a hands-on design and production role for someone who wants to grow beyond purely conceptual design and gain experience seeing projects through from artwork to physical installation. Must be willing and able to travel for site visits, field verification, and event installations, including occasional overnight, weekend or out-of-town travel. The ideal candidate has professional experience and is eager to learn, get hands-on with the design and production process, and grow their skills while working closely with a senior designer and production team. You'll have the opportunity to be involved throughout the life of a project—from developing and refining artwork, through client approvals and production, to seeing the finished graphics come together on-site. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, sees tasks through from start to finish, and can adapt to changing priorities along the way. A positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to roll with the unexpected are essential for keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment. Event production is an active, hands-on environment, and this role will require regular walking, standing, lifting, and carrying materials and equipment during setup, installation, and event days. Please submit a portfolio or examples of previous work with emphasis on projects demonstrating an understanding of design for large format printing, event graphics, or experiential/environmental graphics.
