About California Etching California Etching is a Napa based company that provides an etching and screen-printing service to the wine industry, as well as other industries such as corporate gifting / weddings & sports gifting. The company is well established with over 25 years of operation, and a strong customer base, known for its high level of quality and ability to support demanding timelines. It predominantly provides etched and painting bottles, etched and screen-printed glasses, as well as waxing and bottle blackening services. Since 2023, the company has been under new ownership, and has been growing its business ~15% per year. Summary This role is a part-time position which provides the candidate the opportunity to operate in a small industry setting, and grow their experience, with potential for longer term prospects. The role will be paid at a $20 per hour. The candidate will be expected to work ~15 to 20 hours per week, which can be flexible to accommodate schooling schedule. The works hours must be in person, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Graphics Technician - Part Time Under the guidance of the Graphics Designer, this person will initially learn the basics of creating designs for the preparation of bottle etching and glass screen printing , using the Adobe Illustrator art package. These will initially be simple company logos or salutations / personalization orders, and gradually progress to more complex designs that required a deeper understanding of what the guidelines and limitations are for the etching and screen-printing processes. Other duties Other duties may include, taking phones calls / greet in person customers when office manager is away from the desk. This requires presenting a professional image and courteous manner at all times. They may also support incoming and outgoing goods process, by greeting the delivery personnel, ensuring paperwork is completed and logged in the system, and labelling material. Qualifications & Attributes The candidate must be competent in the use of Adobe Illustrator, as well as possessing other good IT skills, such as emails, Microsoft / Google packages etc. A positive attitude with a good teamworking approach, with a willingness to learn and be flexible in taking on new skills and challenges. Great communication skills is key to this role. Due to our customer base, the candidate must have strong English speaking skills and be able to listen and respond to our customers in a professional manner.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
