A Graphic Designer works with text and images to create design for printed material or web sites. Develops visual designs, such as a logo, that establish an identity or brand for an organization, business or campaign; uses design skills to improve the visual impact of advertising messages, reports, books or websites. May produce documents and printed materials using desktop publishing software and equipment. May work for a publishing company or provide printed business or marketing material for business clients.
Outdoor Lighting is looking for a graphic designer to join our in-house marketing team. We manufacture professional-grade low-voltage outdoor lighting, but the work goes well beyond product catalogs and spec sheets. You'll create print and digital materials for our sales team, distributors, and contractor customers. Some days will be focused on production work and keeping projects moving. Other days may include helping with a video shoot, editing footage, or developing a campaign idea. We're looking for someone who brings creative ideas to the table, takes direction well, and can turn feedback into stronger work without taking it personally. Responsibilities Design flyers, postcards, brochures, door hangers, presentations, email campaigns, social graphics, and other marketing materials Create and update technical documents, including specification sheets, instructions, and installation guides Develop packaging artwork for new and existing products Prepare customizable and co-branded materials for sales reps, distributors, and contractors Maintain consistent branding across print, digital, web, packaging, and event materials Assist with photography, filming, video editing, and other creative projects as opportunities come up Manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and production deadlines Qualifications Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong layout, typography, and production design skills Experience preparing files for print and digital use Comfortable receiving art direction, feedback, and revisions Organized, dependable, and able to work independently and collaboratively Photography, video editing, motion graphics, web design, or social media experience is a plus A portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required The first interview will include a brief, hands-on design exercise using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The exercise is created solely to assess familiarity with the software and will not involve active company projects or work intended for use by Alliance.
