Brand Designer
UNR - 3.8
Eden Prairie, MN Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $58,000 a year 9 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid holidays Health insurance Qualifications Creating UX mockups Embroidery Design file preparation for print Client file management Mid-level Managing design projects Presentation skills Typography design for media Visual communication design Project execution Presentation preparation Brand identity design Screen printing Artistic concept development Figma File organization Full Job Description Brand Designer UNR | Eden Prairie, MN Full-Time | In-Office | Design Work You Actually Get to See Become Real We're looking for a Brand Designer to join the creative team at UNR. This isn't a role where you'll spend every day designing the same type of work. One day you might be developing an apparel collection. The next, you could be creating merchandise concepts, laying out print, working in Figma on a digital experience, building a client presentation, or sitting alongside a client developing ideas during a Studio Session. And the best part? You get to see the work become real. Apparel gets produced. Merchandise gets used. Print gets delivered. Company Stores go live. Branded environments get installed. Digital experiences launch. If you're a versatile designer who enjoys variety, cares about the details, and likes taking an idea all the way through execution, we should talk. This is a full-time, in-office position at our Eden Prairie location. Our creative team works together in person, alongside account management, production, web development, and our clients. Studio Sessions and much of the work we do are collaborative and hands-on, so this is not a remote or hybrid position. About UNR | Built to Work. UNR was founded in 2004 with a simple belief: Do good work, take care of people, and keep your word. Today, we help organizations build and run the programs behind their brand. From Company Stores and apparel to print, promotional products, fulfillment, branded environments, creative, and digital experiences, we help connect the pieces into one organized approach. We call it Brand Operations . We're a family-owned company that believes relationships matter, details matter, and the best brands are built by people willing to do the work. What You'll Do As a Brand Designer, you'll work across a wide variety of client brands, projects, and Brand Programs.
You'll:
Design across apparel, merchandise, promotional products, print, presentations, websites, digital assets, and branded environments Develop creative concepts and visual directions within established client brands Create product mockups and presentations that help clients see ideas come to life Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for embroidery, screen printing, DTF, signage, print, promotional products, and other production methods Work in Figma on websites, Company Stores, Ordering Environments, and other digital experiences Prepare creative concepts and materials for Studio Sessions , then participate directly with clients to develop ideas and solve creative challenges Work closely with account management, production, web development, and the rest of the UNR team Organize and maintain client brand assets and working files Manage multiple projects and keep creative work moving Help make sure what we design is thoughtful, consistent, practical, and ready to execute This is a hands-on design position . We're looking for someone who enjoys doing the work and seeing it through. What Makes This Role Different At UNR, design doesn't operate on an island. You'll work in person with the people who source the products, produce the print, build the websites, manage the programs, fulfill the orders, and work directly with clients. That means learning to think beyond what looks good on the screen. How will it print? Will it embroider? Does it work on the garment? Can we produce it? Does it work digitally? Does it make sense for the client? A great idea matters. Making it work matters just as much. What We're Looking For You don't need to have done everything we do at UNR before. But you should have strong design fundamentals, a good eye, and the curiosity to learn. 3+ years of professional design experience preferred Strong portfolio showing concept development and finished creative work Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Experience with Figma or a willingness to learn Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, composition, and brand systems Ability to work within established brands while still bringing fresh ideas Comfortable taking projects from concept through final production Comfortable presenting work and explaining creative decisions Organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and attentive to details Takes feedback well, brings a point of view, and follows through Experience with apparel, merchandise, print production, signage, web/UI design, or promotional products is a plus. You don't need to be an expert in all of them. We'd rather find a great designer who's curious and wants to learn. You'll Probably Fit In Well If You... Show up prepared. Take ownership. Ask good questions. Care about getting the details right. Help the people around you. Are willing to learn something outside your comfort zone. Don't need someone standing over your shoulder to get things done. And you don't take yourself too seriously, but you take the work seriously. Around here, we call that the lunch-pail mentality . We believe the best brands are built by people willing to do the work. Compensation & Benefits $55,000-$58,000 per year, based on experience Benefits include: Paid vacation Paid Sick & Safe Time Paid holidays Group health insurance available Paid training and professional development Flex Day Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day Opportunities to grow as UNR and our creative team continue to grow Where This Role Can Go We're building a stronger creative team, and there's room to grow for people who consistently produce great work, take ownership, develop their skills, help the people around them, and take on more responsibility. Brand Designer → Senior Brand Designer → Lead Brand Designer Those titles aren't automatic based on time served. They're earned through growth, contribution, and responsibility. Interested? Send us your resume and make sure it includes a link to your portfolio . We want to see how you think, not just polished final images. Show us the apparel concept you're proud of. The identity you pushed further. The print piece that turned out great. The Figma project you helped bring to life. Or the weird project that forced you to figure something out. If your experience doesn't check every box but the work is strong and this sounds like the kind of place you'd like to be, we'd still like to hear from you. Welcome to the Work.
