Job Overview Cleopatra Ink Tattoo & Piercing is looking for a creative, confident, and customer-focused Tattoo Designer to join our team at our Destin, Florida studio . The ideal candidate should be skilled in Adobe Photoshop and/or Procreate , have a strong sense of design, and be able to communicate professionally with customers. Previous tattoo design experience is preferred but not required. Candidates without tattoo industry experience are also welcome to apply if they are confident in digital design, graphic design, illustration, or drawing. Qualified candidates will receive training from our company in: Tattoo design techniques Different tattoo styles Designing according to body anatomy and placement Customer communication Studio workflow and company procedures This position is not only about creating designs on a computer. The Tattoo Designer will welcome customers, listen carefully to their ideas, create custom tattoo designs based on their requests, present the designs professionally, and help turn the design process into a completed sale and confirmed appointment. The candidate must also be able to work within the studio hierarchy, follow company rules, and communicate effectively with tattoo artists, Guest Relations staff, and managers. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers in a friendly, positive, and professional manner. Listen carefully to customers' tattoo ideas, style preferences, size, placement, and expectations. Turn customer ideas into creative and personalized tattoo designs. Present completed designs professionally to customers. Make necessary changes based on customer feedback and tattoo artist recommendations. Guide customers through the design, pricing, sales, and booking process. Check and follow daily and upcoming appointments. Review customer notes, reference images, and design details. Prepare designs before customers arrive at the studio. Follow up on unfinished designs, pending customers, and ongoing projects. Direct customers to the most suitable tattoo artist based on their design and preferred tattoo style. Work closely with tattoo artists, Guest Relations staff, and studio managers. Follow assigned tasks and complete them on time. Follow studio rules, company procedures, and the internal studio hierarchy. Keep design files and the work area organized. Qualifications Ability to use Adobe Photoshop and/or Procreate . Strong skills in digital design, graphic design, illustration, or drawing. A portfolio showing previous design work. Ability to think creatively and turn customer ideas into visual designs. Confidence in communicating directly with customers. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to learn and participate in company-provided training. Ability to follow appointments, designs, and daily tasks in an organized way. Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced studio environment. Positive, responsible, organized, and team-oriented personality. Ability to follow company rules and management instructions. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the tattoo industry or in a tattoo studio. Previous experience in tattoo design. Experience working directly with customers or in sales. Knowledge of anatomy, composition, and design placement for different body areas.
