Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent is responsible for equipment and floorplan graphics development at the direction of a lead project engineer. Additional specific support requests may be required with senior level instruction. This includes, but is not limited to the following: Equipment user interface graphics Floorplan user interface graphics Equipment schedules (valves, dampers, etc.) Software database structure Equipment parameter setup Completion of engineering checklists and adherence to standards Developing and maintaining graphic library standards Understanding and maintaining established budgets The incumbent will communicate primarily with internal team members but may require occasional interaction with end-user customers or contractors, to clarify, and confirm, project requirements. Specific responsibilities for this position include: Use engineering department or customer design standards to generate graphics to meet project requirements Develop and utilize engineering department or customer standards as needed to ensure efficient design practices Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while meeting project budgetary constraints and communicating deficiencies accurately, and in a timely mannerEDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
High school diploma required 2-year technical, graphic design or engineering degree with 0-3 years relevant building automation systems (BAS) industry experience, preferredEXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/direct design experience with Tridium Niagara, Carrier i-Vu or Automated Logic (ALC) products, and tools, preferred Prior experience in HVAC design preferred Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred Excellent written and verbal communications skills Experience with graphic design programs such as Adobe Illustrator Ability to read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets preferred Knowledge of computer networking systems Proficient with Microsoft software productsWorking Environment:
Work is performed in a primarily office environment with routine use of office equipment and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Physical Demands:
Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Remain in a sitting position at a desk for extended periods of time. Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate objects.
