JoyLife SPA Old Town, the only in-hotel spa in Alexandria, VA is looking for a Graphic designer to help us kick off our 1st year anniversary. We have some major projects underway, and we're looking for a skilled Graphic Artist to help bring the vision to life through the website and print media. The right candidate will have an established portfolio and show that they can convey spa concepts in a clear and attractive manner. Strong communication skills are required. Duties Develop and execute creative concepts for branding, marketing campaigns, social media, and print advertising that resonate with target audiences. Design logos, icons, and visual assets using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Sketch. Create motion graphics and video content utilizing Adobe After Effects and video editing tools to enhance digital storytelling. Prepare design files for print production ensuring accurate color management, layout consistency, and prepress specifications. Collaborate on website design projects using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and UI/Web design principles to deliver intuitive user experiences. Conduct photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital photography to produce high-quality visuals for various media. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality. Skills Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Figma, Sketch, and CorelDRAW. Strong understanding of art direction, branding strategies, typography design for media, color theory, and visual hierarchy. Experience with motion graphics creation using Adobe After Effects and video editing tools. Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript for web design projects. Ability to produce digital art, illustrations, signage manufacturing designs, and print-ready files for production. Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress and Showit for website updates and content integration. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate concepts clearly to clients and team members. Technical proficiency in photo editing, photo manipulation, color management, prepress processes, and print production workflows.
