This role will lead the creative development and execution of product and packaging concepts across a growing portfolio, translating brand and merchandising strategies into compelling, commercially relevant designs. The Senior Creative Designer will own projects from initial concept through production, developing product themes, packaging systems, artwork, presentations, and high-quality digital renderings that support both sales and procurement. This individual will serve as a senior creative contributor on the team, helping establish design direction, elevate creative standards, and guide the execution of concepts across multiple products and designers. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how products are presented, experienced, and brought to market. Primary Responsibilities Lead the conceptual development of product and packaging themes for core lines, seasonal collections, and new product initiatives, ensuring concepts are cohesive, differentiated, and commercially relevant. Translate creative briefs, merchandising direction, and customer needs into compelling visual concepts and scalable design systems that can be implemented across numerous products. Create and refine production-ready artwork, including packaging layouts, illustrations, typography, image manipulation, color correction, and other graphic elements. Develop high-quality digital product and packaging renderings that effectively communicate concepts to internal teams, customers, and procurement partners. Identify and troubleshoot packaging and production limitations, recommending creative solutions that maintain design integrity while supporting cost, timing, and manufacturing requirements. Lead revisions and refinement of artwork, including proofreading, color adjustments, image sourcing, layout improvements, and development of new packaging structures. Oversee the creative execution of product mockups by reviewing and approving layflat designs, digital renderings, and physical mockup samples. Create compelling design boards, concept presentations, sales materials, and creative guidelines that clearly communicate the vision for product lines and enable consistent execution by other designers. Provide creative direction, feedback, and design guidance to team members to ensure work meets established creative standards and project objectives. Develop innovative packaging concepts while balancing aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and cost. Stay informed on emerging trends across packaging, gifting, retail, consumer products, fashion, color, typography, and relevant marketplaces, translating insights into commercially viable design opportunities. Design supporting materials including product tags, sales books, presentation assets, and other collateral as needed. Digitally recreate products, hard goods, components, and packaging elements to support presentations, renderings, and sales initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, Procurement, and other partners to move concepts efficiently from idea through production. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of creative quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Take on additional creative and business responsibilities as evolving needs and opportunities arise. Qualifications 5+ years of professional graphic, packaging, product, or consumer goods design experience; experience within gifting, retail, CPG, lifestyle, or related industries strongly preferred. Advanced understanding of design principles including composition, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, proportion, and layout. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite , particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Strong knowledge of packaging design, dielines, print production, layout composition, and production-ready artwork. Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute across a broad range of visual styles, products, customers, and brand aesthetics. Strong digital rendering and photo-manipulation skills with the ability to create realistic and compelling product visuals. Experience developing creative concepts and translating them into cohesive product collections or design systems. Strong awareness of current consumer, retail, packaging, and marketplace trends, with an understanding of how creative decisions contribute to commercial success. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative rationale and collaborate effectively with both creative and non-creative partners. Ability to provide thoughtful creative direction and constructive feedback while maintaining strong collaborative relationships. Comfortable operating with autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and taking ownership of projects and results. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly as priorities, strategies, and business needs evolve. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to balance creative ambition with timelines, costs, and production realities.
