The Electronic Product Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits and test methodologies for new products.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required: Complete electronic design tasks applying sound engineering principles in a timely manner. Participate in new product development brainstorming and review sessions. Create and revise electrical design documentation. Collaborate with other engineers and PCB designers. Prototype, test, and debug designs. Complete on and off-site testing of new products. Design and build product and sub-assembly test systems. Other duties as required.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Employee works under general supervision. Employee exercises discretion within area of responsibility. Employee advises others within the organization on matters within area of expertise.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Solid background in electrical engineering design principles. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. C/C++/Python skills preferred. Background and experience in audio systems preferred. Employee must be able to create advanced templates and linking complex databases, spreadsheets and other documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Computer Engineering. 1-3 years of experience preferred. Specialized training or certification required.

Physical Demands/Efforts Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer. Occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Mental & Visual Demands Considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks. Visual acuity to work with programs on the computer. Work requires frequent visual effort for extended periods of time. Work Environment and Hazards Some areas in the building are not climate controlled. Some exposure to heat, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience. Working environment is typical of an office setting. Absence of hazards.
