Mathews Brothers is seeking a Product Engineer with experience in the window, door, fenestration, or building products industry to help drive product innovation, manufacturing improvements, and product performance testing. If you've developed window systems, designed extrusions, worked with IG units, managed testing and certification projects, supported manufacturing operations, or engineered building products for residential or commercial markets, we'd like to talk with you. What You'll Do Product Design & Development Develop and improve window and door systems, components, and assemblies Create 3D models, engineering drawings, fabrication documents, and BOMs Design and prototype new product concepts using additive manufacturing and traditional fabrication methods Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure designs meet performance and manufacturability requirements Drive product improvements that enhance quality, performance, ease of manufacturing, and customer satisfaction Product Testing & Certification Support AAMA, ASTM, and NFRC product testing initiatives Participate in structural, air infiltration, water penetration, and thermal performance testing Analyze test results and implement engineering solutions Support product certification and compliance requirements Manufacturing Engineering Improve production processes, tooling, workflows, and manufacturing efficiency Troubleshoot product and production challenges Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities Support automation, CNC operations, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives Technical Leadership Provide engineering support across production, quality, sales, and customer service teams Investigate product performance concerns and warranty-related issues Maintain engineering specifications, design standards, and product documentation What We're Looking For Preferred Background We'll be particularly interested in candidates with experience in: Window and door manufacturing Fenestration engineering Building products manufacturing Architectural aluminum systems Glass and glazing systems Residential or commercial construction products Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software Strong problem-solving and project management skills Experience supporting manufacturing operations Highly Desired Experience Window and door system design AAMA, ASTM, NFRC, or CSA testing and certification experience Extrusion design and profile development IG glass systems and glazing applications Thermal performance and energy-efficiency modeling Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement CNC machining and tooling design Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Why Engineers Join Mathews Brothers Work on products used throughout North America Direct impact on product innovation and manufacturing excellence On-site testing and prototyping capabilities Stable, growing manufacturer with a 170-year legacy Relocation assistance available Competitive salary and benefits Opportunity to become a key technical leader within the organization Mathews Brothers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
