Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
- Design Harness and Power Panels
- Design of Electrical Wiring Schematics and Bill of Materials
- Update "red" marked drawings for "As-Built"
- Design and debug automation control panels
- Power distribution
- Working on power ranges from low 12VDC to 480VAC
- Apply electrical codes pertaining to control panel design and electrical installations
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Update technical notes
- Network folder upkeep
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Min 3 years of reading/designing automation control panels and harnesses in AutoCAD.
- Min 3 years of coding/debugging various types of automation equipment and system including, among others, PLCs, HMIs, barcode readers, RFID, Photoelectric sensors, and ultrasonic sensors.
- Knowledge of electrical codes pertaining to control panel design and electrical installations.
- Site power distributions.
- Understanding of power requirement ranging from low 12VDC to high 480VAC.
- Prepare specification for purchase of material and equipment.
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
- Ability of designing RF network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Battery and Charger design.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, NEC, and UL requirements
- Proficiency in the latest Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Creo Experience a plus.
- Windchill a plus.
- Worked safely with 120VAC, 48VDC, 24VDC, and 12VDC.
Special Position Requirements:
Supervisory Responsibility:
None- Functions as fully contributing member of a project team on moderate sized projects of greater significance and complexity.
- Capable of assignments with only minor instructions from supervisor or project leader on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
