Job Description
The Product Engineer II is a technical expert within the engineering department. The Product Engineer II is responsible for the execution of all aspects of the design including both electrical and mechanical design. Product Engineer II begins by creating an electrical design, which includes defining electrical parameters, converting those parameters into a magnetic design and eventually mechanical requirements. This requires Product Engineer II to be able to communicate technical requirements to other people on the team and throughout the organization. Product Engineer II is also responsible for ensuring that products meet all agency requirements. The Product Engineer II is also responsible for supporting existing products through the engineering change order process (ECO). This includes determining the validity of requested changes and ensuring changes are implemented properly. The Product Engineer II works and communicates with all parts of the organization. The Product Engineer II drives both new products that propel us forward today as well as the new technology that drives our future success. Essential Functions /
Responsibilities:
- Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Business Partnering Provide some support for the manufacturing team.
- Provide some engineering support on change requests (ECOs)
- Provide some engineering support on new product introduction (NPI)
- Participate in limited research and development (R D) activities.
- Provide some engineering support in cost reduction efforts. Performance, Metrics & Reporting Meets assigned deadlines provided by project managers or other members of the team.
- Responsible for communicating some aspects of existing product quality to manufacturing team.
- Responsible for some aspects of new product design quality and design turnaround time.
- Responsible for providing support in achieving new product vitality index goals.
- Responsible for all aspects of risk management and risk mitigation

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences
The ideal candidate for the Product Engineer II position will have the following educational background and experience: Provides moderate level of knowledge on all products.
High level of understanding for all aspects of design process
Moderate skills and knowledge on simulation tools
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
3 to 5 years relevant experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively.
High level of knowledge on all products and industry related products
High level of understanding for all aspects of design process Relevant Tools Ansys Maxwell or other magnetic simulation tools
Ansys Simplorer or other circuit simulation tools
Solidworks PDM Professional
Microsoft suite of tools
