•to high-end kitchen, bath, and interior design showroom in Sherman Oaks looking for an experienced, creative, and highly organized Interior Designer / Kitchen Designer to join our team full-time. We are looking for someone who understands more than just aesthetics. The ideal candidate knows how a space functions, how cabinetry works, how to create smart layouts, how to work within a client's budget, and how to take a project from concept through installation.

Responsibilities include:

Design kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and other interior spaces with a strong understanding of functionality, proportion, space planning, and material selection Create floor plans, elevations, cabinetry layouts, and design presentations Develop kitchen designs based on appliance specifications, cabinetry requirements, clearances, and site conditions Prepare and develop quotes, proposals, budgets, and project specifications Manage project budgets while helping clients make selections that balance design, functionality, and cost Manage project timelines, contracts, orders, and installation coordination to help ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule Conduct site visits for measurements, project coordination, installation review, and field verification Source cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, furnishings, and other finish materials Assist clients with material and finish selections while maintaining a cohesive design concept Understand lighting placement and how lighting affects cabinetry, finishes, and the overall space Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, installers, vendors, and manufacturers Provide excellent showroom sales and customer service Follow up with clients, prepare revisions, and help move projects from design to sale Review plans and project details for accuracy before ordering materials Maintain organized project files, specifications, quotes, and client information

Qualifications:

Previous experience in interior design, kitchen design, cabinetry, or a design showroom environment Strong understanding of kitchen design and space planning Experience creating professional floor plans and elevations Knowledge of cabinetry dimensions, fillers, panels, appliances, countertops, plumbing, lighting, and finish materials Experience with quoting, budgeting, specifications, and project management Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, clearances, and basic construction requirements relevant to interior projects Understanding of contracts and project documentation Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working directly with homeowners, contractors, designers, and trade professionals Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time Ability to take accurate measurements and conduct site visits Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced showroom environment Weekend availability is required Software experience: Candidates should be comfortable with professional interior/kitchen design software and drafting/rendering programs. Experience with programs such as 2020 Design, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar kitchen and interior design software is a MUST. We are looking for someone who combines design creativity with technical knowledge, organization, sales ability, and strong customer service. You should be comfortable helping a client from the first showroom consultation through design, selections, quoting, ordering, and project completion.
