Job Description

We're looking for a Lead Interior Designer to join our growing team in Geneva, Illinois. This is a hands-on, leadership-forward role for a designer who thrives in residential design, understands construction from the inside out, and can confidently manage projects from concept through completion. If you're equally energized by creative vision and the details that bring it to life—drawings, schedules, coordination, and execution—we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Lead high-end residential design projects including remodels, renovations, and new construction Develop thoughtful, well-resolved design concepts from schematic design through construction documentation Produce and oversee CAD/Revit drawings, including plans, elevations, and details Collaborate closely with clients, architects, builders, and trade partners Manage project timelines, budgets, specifications, and client communication Review drawings, shop drawings, and submittals; participate in site visits and construction meetings Mentor junior designers and support studio standards and workflows Balance creativity with technical accuracy and real-world constructability What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong focus on residential construction work Interior Design degree from an accredited program Proficiency in CAD and/or Revit (Revit experience strongly preferred) Proven experience with both remodels and new builds Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and documentation Strong project management skills—you can juggle multiple projects while staying organized and calm Excellent communication skills (client-facing confidence is a must) A collaborative, proactive mindset with high attention to detail What We Offer Full-time position in our Geneva, IL studio, with light travel required Opportunity to work on thoughtfully designed, high-quality residential projects A collaborative, design-driven environment that values both creativity and execution Competitive compensation based on experience Room for growth, leadership, and long-term career development How to
