As a Kitchen Designer, you'll work directly with clients—homeowners, architects, builders, and designers—to assess needs, create customized designs, provide accurate cost estimates, and oversee the sales and ordering process. You'll enjoy a collaborative and friendly environment with a diverse clientele.Key Responsibilities:
Meet with clients in the showroom to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets. Design customized kitchens using design software, preparing floor plans, elevations, and perspectives. Price, sell, and order cabinets, and related products. Maintain and update showroom cabinet displays and samples. Coordinate with customers, vendors, and installers by creating and managing detailed job drawings and specifications. Anticipate installation challenges during the design phase and address potential problems proactively.Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Proficiency in computer applications, including kitchen design software. Familiarity with residential construction techniques, materials, and drawings. Knowledge of cabinet construction, appliance specifications, and plumbing/electrical components of kitchens. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to precision in pricing and ordering. Strong ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.Preferred Experience:
2+ years of experience in kitchen design (preferred but not required). Experience noting and detailing drawings to assist installers.Attributes:
Enthusiastic, service-oriented attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction. Willingness to ask questions and work collaboratively within a team. History of reliability and strong problem-solving skills.What We Offer:
