Upon Completion About the Role We are seeking an experienced and creative Interior Designer to lead the design and development of a distinctive event space. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional interior design experience, strong design-school training, and a portfolio demonstrating the ability to create visually compelling, functional, and memorable environments. You will be responsible for translating the vision for the venue into a cohesive design concept—from initial space planning and material selection through construction documentation and project completion. Key Responsibilities Develop the overall interior design concept, aesthetic, and experience for the event space. Create space plans, layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations. Design spaces that balance aesthetics, functionality, guest experience, and operational requirements. Select finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, artwork, and decorative elements. Develop and review drawings, elevations, details, and specifications. Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, vendors, and other consultants. Research and source materials, furnishings, and specialty elements. Manage multiple design phases, timelines, and project priorities. Present concepts and design decisions clearly to ownership and project stakeholders. Stay current with hospitality, event, interior design, and experiential design trends. Qualifications 5+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably with hospitality, restaurants, event venues, entertainment spaces, or other high-traffic environments. Degree or formal education from an accredited design school in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline. Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interior design and completed projects. Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar tools. Strong understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, furniture, and architectural detailing. Experience working with contractors, vendors, consultants, and fabricators. Excellent space-planning and visualization skills. Strong communication, presentation, organization, and project-management abilities. Ability to manage projects from concept through installation while maintaining design quality and attention to detail. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a designer who is creative, collaborative, highly detail-oriented, and passionate about creating memorable spaces. Experience designing environments that support events, celebrations, dining, entertainment, or hospitality is highly valued.
Pay:
$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
