As a Kitchen and Bath Designer, your role is pivotal in transforming client visions into reality. You will manage the entire design process, from client consultation to finalizing quotes and specifications, while also contributing to business development. Your expertise in design, layout, and project management will be key in delivering exceptional service and functional designs that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Collaboration:
Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their design preferences, lifestyle, and budget. Use your expertise to recommend solutions that align with their needs and ensure satisfaction with the final design.
Design and Layout Creation:
Utilize your design software skills to produce detailed kitchen and bath layouts. Your designs should reflect both client desires and practical considerations, ensuring a functional and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
Project Management:
Accurately measure job sites to ensure precise dimensions for layout purposes. Oversee the entire design process from initial consultation through to final delivery, making sure projects are completed on time and meet all specifications.
Quoting and Appliance Specifications:
Prepare quotes based on client design requirements and material selections. Confirm appliance specifications to ensure proper integration with the overall design, minimizing delays or errors.
Prospecting and Business Development:
Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and building relationships. Use your network to generate leads and contribute to the company's growth.
Product Knowledge and Industry Trends:
Stay informed about current kitchen and bath design trends, materials, and products, ensuring that your designs are innovative and meet the latest standards in functionality and style.
Skills and Expertise:
Proven experience in kitchen and bath design, with proficiency in design software like Auto
CAD, 2020
Design, SketchUp, or similar.
Strong knowledge of space planning, design principles, and product selection.
Ability to measure and apply technical information to designs.
Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and design presentation.
Experience in quoting and project pricing, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
A proactive approach to business development, with experience in generating leads.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Qualifications:
• NKBA certification or similar design accreditation is beneficial.
• Experience in sales or customer relationship management is an asset.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
