About Us Fabric House is a Houston-based showroom specializing in premium textiles, custom drapery, upholstery, and curated interior design solutions. We work with both retail clients and trade professionals to source distinctive fabrics and bring tailored design concepts to life. Our environment is collaborative, design-driven, and continually growing. This is an opportunity to be part of a team where creativity, product knowledge, and client relationships are at the core of everything we do. Position Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Design Consultant / Sales Specialist with a passion for textiles and interiors. This role combines sales, design consultation, and relationship-building, with a strong emphasis on fabric selection, drapery solutions, and custom applications. The ideal candidate enjoys working closely with clients to guide them through design decisions while driving sales and delivering an exceptional showroom experience. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and trade professionals Provide exceptional customer service from initial inquiry through project completion Assist clients in selecting fabrics, trims, and materials for drapery, upholstery, and custom applications Guide clients through custom drapery solutions, hardware options, and fabrication details Support full interior design projects including furniture and material selections Coordinate with workrooms, vendors, and installers to ensure seamless execution Maintain showroom organization and presentation, including fabric library management Stay current on textile lines, trends, and product knowledge Qualifications Experience in textiles, interior design, or sales preferred Strong interest in fabrics, drapery, and interior applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and client needs simultaneously Self-motivated with a proactive, sales-driven mindset Familiarity with design or sales software (CRM, invoicing, etc.) is a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation with strong earning potential Weekly pay structure Opportunity to grow within a design-focused, expanding company Exposure to high-end textiles and custom design projects A role that blends creativity, product expertise, and client interaction This is a 1099 position
