This position combines fabric and design knowledge with exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests and vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Client Service & Fabric Selection — Assist interior designers and trade clients in selecting fabrics that meet their:
◦ Aesthetic needs
◦ Performance and durability requirements
◦ Application requirements Product Knowledge — Develop and maintain a strong understanding of:
◦ Fabric construction and fiber content
◦ Pattern, color, and texture
◦ Performance characteristics and appropriate applications Showroom Support — Maintain an organized, attractive, up-to-date fabric library and showroom, including:
◦ Fabric samples and books
◦ Memos
◦ Displays Quotes & Order Support — Assist clients with:
◦ Pricing and availability
◦ Reserves
◦ CFA requests
◦ Memo/sample orders
◦ Other product inquiries Vendor Communication — Work with multiple textile vendors and their ordering systems to obtain:
◦ Pricing and stock information
◦ Samples
◦ Product specifications Client Relationships — Build and maintain professional relationships with:
◦ Interior designers
◦ Vendors and representatives
◦ Other members of the design community Administrative & Operational Support — Accurately track client requests, samples, and follow-up while managing multiple projects and priorities. Qualifications & Skills Experience — in any of the following is preferred:
◦ Interior design
◦ Textiles
◦ High-end home furnishings
◦ Showroom sales
◦ Customer service Knowledge — of the following is highly desirable:
◦ Textiles and fabric construction
◦ Interior design applications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, approachable, and service-oriented when working with clients and vendors. Comfortable learning and working within multiple vendor websites. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple client requests in a busy showroom environment. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has an appreciation for textiles and interior design, enjoys helping design professionals find the right product for their projects, and understands that excellent service requires both creativity and careful attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, eager to learn, and committed to providing a high level of service to our clients.
