Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Interior Design Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key facilitator helping to guide clients and transform their spaces. With an array of tile and natural stone at your fingertips, your expertise will help clients realize their vision through personalized consultation and expert product recommendation. Lexco Tile & Stone is frequently cited by clients and industry professionals for having an area-best showroom that both inspires and offers ample variety to meet most any sense of style. Duties/Responsibilities Engage with clients to understand their design preferences, needs, and budgets through active listening and insightful questioning. Support walk-in showroom traffic or clients by appointment for remodels and new construction. Be an active learner of porcelain, ceramic and natural stone, including finishes like trim, grout and various setting material solutions. Help to organize and visually merchandise the showroom. Assist in the sample area by labeling and creating space for new tile collections. Stay updated on tile trends and themes. Keep showroom pricing information updated and display boards current. Proficient in the Office Suite of products. Learn internal computer systems and general operations. Knowledge/Skills A minimum of an Interior Design Technical Degree. An understanding of kitchen and bath design. Effective customer service and sales techniques. Good communication and listening skills with designers, homeowners, contractors and co-workers. The ability to understand basic design functions related to tile selection and application. Organizational skills to manage multiple clients simultaneously. Ability to lift at least 35 pounds. Working Hours :
Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
