Qualifications & Skills:

Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state equivalent) Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant forms of manual communication Previous experience in educational settings is highly desirable Strong commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and cultural sensitivity Flexibility to adapt interpreting style to different classroom settings and student needs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Your Role & Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken communication into sign language and vice versa during classroom lessons, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and special education teams to support students academic and social success Assist in developing accessible materials and resources for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Promote inclusion by facilitating clear communication among students, educators, and families Maintain accurate records of services provided and participate in meetings as needed
