Contract / Freelance Position Overview We are seeking experienced Spanish interpreters and translators to join our growing language-services network. We are currently looking to onboard four qualified professionals who can provide accurate, culturally appropriate, and confidential language services. Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English and have demonstrated interpreting experience in medical, educational, and legal settings . Key Responsibilities Provide accurate and impartial Spanish ↔ English interpretation . Interpret in medical, educational, and legal environments , both in person and remotely as assignments require. Facilitate clear communication while maintaining the meaning, tone, and intent of the speakers. Provide written translation services when qualified and requested. Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries . Follow applicable interpreter codes of ethics, standards of practice, and client-specific protocols. Demonstrate cultural competency when working with Haitian Creole-speaking individuals and families. Arrive punctually and professionally prepared for scheduled assignments. Accurately document assignment information as required for billing and compliance. Required Qualifications Fluency in Spanish and English . Professional interpreting experience in medical, educational, and legal settings . Strong knowledge of terminology commonly used within these environments. Excellent listening, comprehension, memory, and communication skills. Ability to interpret accurately without adding, omitting, or altering information. Strong understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, impartiality, and professional conduct. Dependable, professional, and responsive to scheduling communications. Preferred Qualifications Formal interpreter training or recognized interpreter certification. Medical or healthcare interpreter training/certification. Legal or court interpreting experience. Experience providing both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation . Professional translation experience in Haitian Creole and English. Experience working with language-service agencies, hospitals, schools, government agencies, courts, or law firms. Successful candidates will demonstrate accuracy, cultural competency, professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to language access . We are currently onboarding four Spanish interpreters/translators for upcoming assignments.
