Job Description
Use your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to make a difference in the life of an elementary student in a supportive contract role near Denver, CO. This opportunity is for a dedicated professional who can provide one-on-one interpreting services in an in-person classroom setting for the entire school year.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter EIPA score of 4.0 or higher required Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-age children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to commit to an on-site position for the entire duration of the contractResponsibilities:
Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation for a single elementary student throughout the school day Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Collaborate with educational staff to support the students learning and engagement Adapt interpreting methods as needed to suit classroom activities and the students needs Attend relevant meetings and participate in team discussions regarding the students educational progress This position runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, totaling 37.5 hours per week in a structured, on-site environment.
