Job Description

Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a dynamic educational environment near Englewood, CO! Play a vital role in supporting students across multiple school sites, ensuring access to both Special Education and General Education classrooms ranging from mild to severe needs. This full-time, full-school-year, onsite contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while working in an engaging, collaborative setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid CDE Authorization required to serve as an educational interpreter in Colorado schools Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings preferred Ability to travel between multiple schools as an itinerant interpreter Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and team collaboration Proficient in American Sign Language with the capacity to interpret for a wide range of students and classroom environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality sign language interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in both General and Special Education classrooms Support student participation by accurately conveying classroom instruction and conversations Coordinate with teachers, support staff, and district professionals to address student needs Adapt interpreting style to suit individual students' communication preferences and assignments Travel between multiple school locations as needed to provide continuous support throughout the school year If you are passionate about educational access and meet the required qualifications, this is your opportunity to positively impact student learning in a supportive and forward-thinking district.
