Desired Qualifications:

Minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher Experience working with school-age Deaf or Hard of Hearing students Proficient in American Sign Language and familiar with educational interpreting best practices Ability to adapt communication styles for various age groups Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, and collaboration with educational staff Must complete FL school district fingerprinting (prior prints through AHCA Clearinghouse may be accepted), plus secure a JLA badge before starting

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken and signed communication in academic and social school settings Provide Language modeling and facilitate inclusive participation for DHH students Assist with orientation and transition needs within the classroom Collaborate closely with teachers, case managers, and related service professionals Adapt to both 1:1 and group interpreting demands while maintaining accuracy and integrity in interpreting Youll find a supportive setting, a consistent weekday schedule up to 37.5 hours per week, and the chance to contribute to student success throughout the school year.
