This position will be available starting September 2026, extending through the end of the school year. As a valued professional, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication and inclusion for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This part-time assignment allows you to provide specialized interpreting services, facilitating meaningful classroom participation and engagement. You'll be working with a small caseload, providing individualized support and helping foster a positive, accessible learning environment.

Qualifications:

Valid Educational Sign Language Interpreter credentials or certification Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and English Previous experience in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to fostering inclusive educational opportunities Flexible and collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events between students, teachers, and peers Support students in both individual and group settings Collaborate with educators and staff to meet students unique communication needs Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards Adapt interpreting approach to suit students learning styles and needs Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student progress
