Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity near Alpharetta, GA, where your expertise as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter can make a profound difference. Serving a school district, this full-time, onsite position offers the chance to work one-on-one with a student, supporting their educational journey for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year. Your role will start August 3rd, 2026, and continue through May 27th, 2027. As a valued interpreter, your fluency and professionalism will ensure clear, effective communication between students, staff, and faculty, fostering an environment where every student can thrive.
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) SLI License required (note: HR waiver will not be accepted) Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience in an educational setting strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain flexible and responsive to student needs
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, one-on-one sign language interpreting for a student during school hours Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff in classroom and school environments Support access to the curriculum and extracurricular activities as needed Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate records Collaborate with educators and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support Imagine impacting a student's academic and social growth every day, while working alongside dedicated educational professionals.
