Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a vital support role as a Sign Language Interpreter, delivering one-on-one communication access for a high school student in a dynamic educational environment. This onsite assignment offers the opportunity to foster inclusion and bridge communication gaps, working closely with students, educators, and staff to ensure full access to instructional content throughout the school day. What we're looking for: Active Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification RID Certification or an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Demonstrated experience in school-based interpreting (prior experience preferred) Proven ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, for the remainder of the academic contract Experience supporting high school students or working one-on-one with individual learners is highly desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with faculty and staff Dependable transportation and commitment to on-site work Your responsibilities will include: Providing real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation between student, staff, and peers during classroom instruction and school events Ensuring accurate, confidential, and age-appropriate interpretation in all educational settings Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and special education teams to support the student's academic goals Adapting communication styles based on the student's individualized needs and educational environment Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times This contract spans full-time hours across the academic year, allowing you to make a lasting impact on a young person's educational journey.
