Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL); certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, NIC, or state certification) Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication skills and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment Flexibility, adaptability, and a spirit of collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) for students, staff, and school activities Support the educational and social development of students who are deaf or hard of hearing Work closely with special education professionals, teachers, and administrators Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
