Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful position supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter on a full-time, full school year contract. Your expertise in American Sign Language will be highly valued as you help foster an inclusive classroom experience. What we're looking for: Skilled in American Sign Language with demonstrated proficiency EPIA score of 3.5 or above (required) Prior experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools or educational environments preferred Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other interpreters Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and promoting equal access to education Key responsibilities: Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for students, staff, and parents during classes and school activities Support students' understanding by accurately conveying classroom instruction, discussions, and social interactions Assist in developing communication strategies that ensure student engagement and participation Collaborate with educational teams to meet each student's individual needs Maintain accurate records of services provided as required by the educational setting Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities You'll work in a supportive school environment focused on collaboration and growth.
