This contract opportunity offers a rewarding blend of steady, full-time hours from now through May 27th, 2027, making a direct difference for learners who rely on your skilled communication. This role involves a unique schedule—providing 1:1 sign language interpreter support onsite at Alliance Academy part-time and serving as a floating interpreter part-time across other locations in the district.
Key Qualifications:
Valid GA DOE Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license in hand, required for presentation upon hiring Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and proficiency in educational interpreting Experience with K-12 students and a passion for creating accessible learning environments Flexibility to adapt between consistently assigned and floating interpreter duties Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Commitment to professional ethics and confidentialityResponsibilities:
Deliver clear and accurate interpretation services for a designated student in both classroom and school environments Collaborate with educational staff to support student engagement and participation Adjust interpreting techniques to match the needs of the student and learning context Participate in relevant team meetings and professional development opportunities Maintain accurate documentation in line with district and legal guidelines Enjoy a schedule that blends routine with variety!
