This contract position offers full-time hours working directly on campus, where youll build meaningful connections and support students educational journeys through in-person communication facilitation.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience, preferably in school settings. Certification or credentials compliant with state requirements for educational sign language interpreters. Strong understanding of Deaf culture and experience supporting students with varying communication needs. Comfortable working with high school-aged students and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families. Flexible, reliable, and eager to contribute to a vibrant learning community.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide clear, accurate sign language interpretation between students, teachers, and peers during class and school activities. Support student participation in all aspects of school life, including academic classes, assemblies, and extracurriculars. Collaborate closely with educators to ensure accessible instruction and foster inclusive learning environments. Assist in preparing and adapting materials as needed to meet individual student needs. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all interactions.
